Dr. Julie Miller completed her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at the University of Calgary before pursuing her doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, British Columbia. Upon completion of 4 years of extensive training in medical sciences and naturopathic modalities, including a clinical internship, Dr. Miller received the Academic Excellence Award for her graduating class.
Her passion for life-long learning has led Dr Miller to continually expand her knowledge and expertise so that she can provide more effective, patient-specific care that is on the leading edge of naturopathic medicine. In addition to an extensive knowledge of European Biological Medicine, Dr Miller has received additional training in electro-dermal screening, dark field microscopy, biological terrain assessment, neural therapy, biotherapeutic drainage, oxidative therapies, Neuro-Emotional Technique, HeartMath interventions, Autonomic Response Testing, nutritional optimization, and chelation therapy.
With a strong belief in the body’s innate ability to heal itself, Dr. Miller is committed to finding the root of the problem and supporting the individual at their own pace to achieve true healing and optimal wellness. Following the principles of naturopathic medicine, Dr. Miller uses a holistic approach in treating her patients which incorporates diet and lifestyle counselling, natural evidence-based therapies and mind-body principles for healing. Her areas of expertise include: hormonal imbalance and women’s health concerns, fatigue, allergies, digestive complaints, detoxification, healthy fat loss, chronic infections as well as facilitating healthy stress management and mental wellbeing.
While providing a thorough assessment based on history, physical exam findings, conventional lab work, and other specialized forms of testing, Dr. Miller will formulate a unique treatment plan to meet each person’s needs.
Dr. Miller is licensed by the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta and is a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors.
