Dr. Natasha Iyer is the Medical Director of Better, A Centre for Complete Living.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, she began caring for patients in both hospitals and medical clinics. She has extensive experience in both Emergency Medicine and Surgical Medicine. In addition, Dr. Iyer obtained post graduate training in Women’s Health, Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pediatrics. Dr.Iyer has also been a teacher of medical students, as well as being involved with the instructive mentoring of International Medical Graduates, in order to integrate more doctors into the Canadian medical system. Currently, she teaches procedural skills to Family Medicine residents at the University of Calgary. She has also taught physicians and nurses in the field of Cosmetic Medicine (injectable filler techniques), having created her own unique approach to certain areas of the face.
Dr. Iyer has been interviewed and featured on television stations such as CCTV, CBC, Global TV and BTV; national magazines that include Chatelaine, Today’s Parent and Esteem Magazine for professional women. Dr. Iyer has been the cover story in Mompreneur magazine and has been featured in such national newspapers as the Montreal Gazette, Vancouver Sun, Ottawa Citizen and the Calgary Herald.
Dr. Iyer has always had a keen interest in preventative medicine, anti-aging medicine, hormonal health, holistic alternatives, stress management and medical aesthetics. In essence: she looks at finding the root cause of your issues rather than offering band aid solutions. Whether it is aging and feeling older; or sagging skin: she believes that finding out ‘what is causing this’ and restoring the process is what will give you lasting solutions. This approach is evident in her own life, functioning and appearance.

She has completed the coursework for the board exams to receive a Fellowship in Functional and Regenerative Medicine.
Between her busy schedule of her clinic in downtown Calgary, her 2 boys and husband; she finds time to read journals in Dermatology and Cosmetic Medicine to remain cutting edge in helping your skin look fresh and young.
Dr Iyer is also a noted speaker and trainer on wellness, hormones, weight management and anti-aging.
On a personal note…..
Dr. Iyer loves the outdoors, camping and canoeing with her family: A husband, 2 boys age 10 and 13 and 2 large breed dogs who keep her active, ensure she keep up physically.
In her spare time she reads and researches in the field of psychology and personal development, having completed Landmark Education, numerous retreats and workshops by world famous teachers. She is creating a membership site for clients of the clinic and writes blogs, articles and newsletters for her clients. She is active on FaceBook creating awareness and her children have made inspiring videos to help adults and children alike see first hand that living a healthy lifestyle is fun and easy.
